Forest Essentials After Bath Oil – Review

Forest Essentials After Bath Oil – Review

Today, I am going to review my after bath oil purchase from Forest Essentials that is Indian Rose Absolute after bath oil. This winter I decided to try body oil instead of body butters and body lotions. I decided to go for my favourite Forest Essentials scent that is Indian Rose. I first purchased it in travel size, after that I got it in bigger size. I am writing this review after 4 months of usage.

About Forest Essentials: It is an authentic, traditional skincare brand with its foundations in the ancient science of Ayurveda. combines the ancient beauty rituals of Ayurveda with a stylish, modern aesthetic for a more relevant emphasis on efficacy, sensorial experience and pleasure of usage. Ingredients used are always pure, fresh, seasonal, natural, plant based, organically grown and cruelty free. In addition to it, they are chemical, paraben and mineral oil free.

About after bath body oil and its ingredients: It is a water soluble oil prepared with pure naturally distilled essential oils like Apricot Kernel oil (nourishes, revitalizes and improves skin elasticity to effectively prevent signs of ageing), Rose oil (having cooling, soothing and moisturizing properties), Almond oil (most nutritious, adds glow, and deeply moisturizes the skin) in cold pressed base oils like sunflower oil (rich in vitamins A, C and D and healthy carotenoids which form a protective barrier on the skin), olive, avocado and castor oil. Also having extracts from satavari root, ashwagandha, gokaru seed and cedar-wood. The Forest Essentials After Bath Oil Indian Rose Absolute lightly scents the skin with calming yet sensuous notes of Rose.

How to use: To be used on wet skin in the shower after cleansing to seal moisture in the body or pour two capfuls into warm bath water.

Price and packaging: It comes in three packages 50 ml(Travel pack) for Rs 550, 130 ml for Rs 1295 and 200 ml for Rs 1975. Comes in recyclable PET bottles with a seal on the box in which the bottle is packed. Bottle of every size doesn’t have a pump. You can get it from Forest Essentials itself, Myntra, Amazon and Nykaa. It comes in eco-friendly biodegradable cartons made of FSC certified papers.

My experience: The oil is amber with consistency pretty much like normal oil and does not solidify in winters. On application, it is absorbed well and is not sticky at all. I recommend using it instantly after bathing on damp skin as it is easy to apply and spreads well even with little quantity. The other thing that I really liked about it is its heavenly fragrance. It’s very earthy, natural, fresh, unique and desi as compared to others. Not very strong to leave you with a headache. Next good thing about the scent is that it lasts really long. It lingers on for 24 hours or more after application. Lastly and most importantly it really moisturizes and hydrates the skin well. Needs to be applied only once a day even in winters. Moreover, I must say my skin became more radiant, soft and smoother this winter unlike before when it used to become dry and itchy even in an hour after applying moisturizer. If I tried to draw a line by scratching the skin I was not able to draw any. It performed better than the body butters. Overall, this winter’s oil has been remarkably good, don’t know how it will perform in summers, will let you know later.

I hope you found this helpful!!
